THE BOOK THAT STARTED IT ALL

When backyard enthusiasts plant fruit trees, they often get more than they bargained for, namely, out-sized trees and impossible quantities of fruit. It doesn’t have to be this way. Backyard growers have different purposes than farmers. Different rules apply. Well-timed pruning keeps fruit trees small and easy to manage. Pruning is one of the most necessary, neglected, forgiving, misunderstood, and rewarding aspects of fruit tree care. In a very real way, the hand of the pruner creates a fruit tree. Managing fruit trees is far less complicated than we have been led to believe.

Anne of All Trades

Everything is “figureoutable.” Get a better roadmap towards living the deeply rooted life you’re after by subscribing to this channel. Whether you’ve got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you’ve always wanted to do, let’s learn to think outside the box and come up with new solutions together. I became “Anne of All Trades” out of necessity. 10 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break, and build the things I needed. Today, I travel the country teaching furniture building, permaculture farming, and sustainability techniques I’ve learned by trying, failing, and repeating. A lot can change in a decade, and your new chapter starts now.
